River Run (One) Townhouses2300-block of Erlton Street and Erlton Place SW
These 39 bare-land condominium townhouses were built in 1999 by an Ontario builder incorporated here as Erlton Development Ltd., who went on to build River Run Two on the 2400-block of Erlton Street in 2001. These homes are built in a twin row, half facing east to the Street, half facing west to the Place. In between runs a driveway with north and south entrances, serving each home's double drive-under garage and double on-pad parking, so everyone can accommodate four vehicles. Overhanging each home's driveway is the back deck, which offers nice outdoor space just off the main-level kitchen. Above the garage each home offers about 2,000 sq. ft. of finishing living space spanning two and a half levels with 2.5 bathrooms and two bedrooms plus the loft-like top floor under sloping ceilings and dormer windows. Finishings tend to be high end, so expect to find gas fireplaces, hardwoods, granite countertops, maple cabinetry. While not on the Elbow River, this development enjoys the Erlton cul-de-sac location with no through traffic, the river just steps away (50 M?), and close enough to Lindsay Park and the sports centre to occasionally get a whiff of the pool, which always smells like summertime to me.
